I have been a chinchilla owner for 10 years now with my
first pair coming from a pet store. I did not have the back
up of either a breeder or a knowledgeable vet, and I ran
into trouble. After huge vet bills and alot of heart ache,
I had to put down my female due to genetic problems.
In the meantime I had fallen in love with my furry
little darlings. This is where the adventure began.
Never wanting to go through that trauma again, I started
doing research and found a respected breeder to help me
start my own ranch. I now have a small but quality herd
that I add new blood lines to on a regular basis. I have the
ability to have most colors with the exception of
sapphires. The chinchillas are our pets and with us being a family of 6 they receive lots of attention and handling.
I am learning more everyday about the species and will
always be of help to my customers. I am also a member
of the MCBA ( Mutation Chinchilla Breeders Association).
